treats its citizens and demanding
the immediate clean up and
This
website www.govpollution.info has been established
to show the world what the Australian Government is doing to it’s people without
care for their safety.
It also
will tell you what the federal & state politicians, past & present have done, or
not done about this massive pollution problem.
The
pollution is Water, Air, Ground, Noise & Underground Water, caused by
Williamtown Air Force Base use of the Salt Ash Weapons Range.
1. Water
= approx. 700 household rainwater tanks having exposure to thousands of litres
of unburnt jet fuel, as low flying FA/18 hornet & hawk L.I.F fighter aircraft
circle continuously day & night.
2. Air =
about 15000 homes & 2 primary schools plus several preschools are in this
unburnt fuel pollution zone.
3. Noise
= the continuous low level circling of RAAF fighter jets is so bad that to have
a conversation is almost impossible, i.e. phone or 2 people standing next to
each other. This turmoil goes day & night.
4. Under
ground water [ Tomago water aquifer ] is contaminated from massive fuel spills
or dumping into stormwater drains, plus lead & other toxic materials. The target
at salt ash weapons range is an environmental disaster, which is situated
approximately 2 kilometres from private homes.
Why does the Australian Government use children's homes and schools as a low level bombing and strafing range. This is what is happening in Port Stephens & is being done by RAAF pilots from Williamtown Air Force Base in New South Wales, Australia using Hawk Lead in Fighters & FA/18 Hornets.
Shame Shame Shame
Air, Water & Noise Pollution
A Health Study is needed on all residents living in this Air Weapons Range.
It states In Defence Force Regulations 1952-Reg 49 Declaration of a defence practice area
(1) The Minister may, by notice published in the Gazette, declare any area of land, sea or air in or adjacent to Australia to be a defence practice area for carrying out a defence operation or practice of a kind specified in the notice.
(2) The Minister shall not make a declaration under subregulation (1) in respect of private land unless
(a) the consent in writing of the occupier of the land has first been obtained.
Most of these following conditions do not seem to be carried out in the manner that was intended.
Conditions for the introduction of RAAF
Hawk lead in Fighter jets
1. The Environmental Management Plan [EPM] for RAAF Base Williamtown [Williamtown] will be updated to incorporate the environmental issues identified in the impact assessment process. The plan will be updated to meet the requirements of the international quality assurance system ISO 14001 which requires a review by an independent environmental auditor
2. The EPM for the Salt Ash Air Weapons Range [Range] will be similarly updated and reviewed
3. The environmental management strategies at both Williamtown and the Range will include long-term noise monitoring. The impacts of noise will be reviewed periodically
4. An Environmental Advisory Committee will be establlished at RAAF Williamtown to facilitate information exchange between RAAF and the community.
5.Defence will engage with local and state planning authorities to establish guidelines to ensure proposed developments within close proximity to both sites are compatible with Defence operational and training requirements.
6. An Estuary Management Plan for 12 mile Creek will be developed which will consider opportunities for public access to waterways in the vicinity of the Range, consistent with the ove-riding obligation to ensure public safety.
7. The RAAF will review
the methods it uses to communicate its flying programs and schedules to the
community in the Port
Stephens area
8. Defence will give priority consideration to implementing a noise attenuation program at the Salt Ash Public School to reduce the adverse impacts of aircraft noise.
9. Advice from the Port Stephens community will be sought about and factored into the planning of operatios at Willliamtown and the Range to provide for respite periods.
10. Night flying at SAWR will be restricted to the minimum required to achieve operational and training targets. As a general rule there will be no flying aftger 9:00pm [Eastern Standard Time] amd 10:30 pm during dayllight saving.
11. The average annual use of the Range will not increase and will continue to be minimised as far as practical. The maximum 10-year rolling averaage for aircraft usage at the Range will be 115 days for all Hornet and Hawk operations.
12. Road signage in the Port Stephens area warning of low flying aircraft will be reviewed in consultation with NSW Roads and Traffic Authority
13. Signage will be reviewed and any additional signage required will be erected around the perimeter of the Range warning of possible high noise areas.
14. Should the responsible authorities conduct long-term health studies in the Port Stephens area, Defence will seek to ensure the studies include monitoring for signs of air toxins.
15. Air quality monitoring and air pollution abatement measures will be incorporated into the environmental management strategies implemented at both sites.
16. Relevant air emissions at Willliamtown will be reported to the National Pollutant Inventory as part of Defence's NPI reporting.
17. The EMP for both sites will incorporate Defence's greenhouse gas reduction strategy inclluding measures to reduce air emissiion and fuel consumption during taxiing, take-offs and landings.
18. Surface and ground water quality monitoring will be incorporated in the EMP for both sites, with results to be provided to Hunter Water Corporation according to an appropriate process.
19. The EMP for both sites will incorporate measures for waste management and control of contamination. This will include management of toxic materials and waste generated during servicing and maintaining of aircraft.
20. The environmental management strategies employed at both sites will include an annual cycle of review and continuous improvement.
21. Indigenous artifacts, archaeological deposits and heritage sites identified at Williamtown and the Range will be catalogued, protected and managed in accordance with strategies identified in the EMP's. The plans will include consideration of impacts of aircraft attack profiles on heritage sites.
22. Any development proposals at Williamtown will be considered in accordance with Defence's environment and heritage obligations under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and Australian Heritage Commission Act 1975.
23. Security at the Range will be improved by constructing a perimeter fence to preclude public assess. Alternative strategies to fencing in estuarine and wetland areas will be investigated, and appropriate signage installed.
24. The EMP's developed for both sites will incorporate the requirements for RAAF operations as set out in formal Defence Instructions and will implement the safeguards identified in the Environmental Impact Study.
25. An environmental status report that addresses environmental issues and includes the results of monitoring will be provided to the Department of Environment and Heritage at regular intervals.
To use residents homes & schools as a training area for lowing flying military
fighter jet aircraft by the Royal Australian Air Force firing live ammunition &
dropping dummy bombs is okay by the Australian Government.
This practice could & should be done in part of the many vast unpopulated areas
of Australia.
As this area is used to train pilots, makes it even more dangerous with shells &
bombs falling on private property ( the bombs have started fires on both private
land & bushland )
They are destroying the future of Port Stephens, a fabulous tourist destination that has become world famous for its stunning beauty.

It looks neat at first until you have to live with it, sleep with it, try to do business beneath it, go about your daily life with it, raise a family under it. All the time it goes around and around endlessly dropping bombs near your backyard and thousands of rounds of real live ammunition fired over and over at the same place! Ammunition that is full of lead, being buried into our local underground water supply as a permanent legacy of arrogance and stupidity.
Noise levels that exceed the laid down federal laws, that would have a business closed in a day under different conditions. Ear splitting noise that is extremely unhealthy. Your nerves jarred every 30 seconds. Yet we are told over and over as a mantra that "they were there before us" Somehow it seems that those telling this outrageous lie believe if you repeat the same lie over and over it might become believable. Well for those "spinning" the reality have a look at the date on the Salt Ash School. It was built and occupied before aircraft were invented!
How can a world premier tourist destination achieve its potential when it is being blitzed and bombed by low flying war planes everyday?
The potential for hundreds of jobs and millions of dollars in revenue and good business is held back by short sighted policies that allow for a minority organisation to dictate the way this area can grow and achieve its full potential.
So it is better for the locals to be poisoned by aerosol toxic jet fuel spray, contaminated drinking water and destructive noise beyond legal limits than shift the bombing range! How come the the RAAF bombing range apologists always link the shifting of the bombing range away from humans with the closure of the Williamtown airbase? Why not keep the airbase and shift the bombing range instead, Surely that would be a much cheaper option than shifting and entire airbase and airport! Same old nutty logic.
How come the apologists continue the same inane line about the RAAF being here before the people that are suffering from their illegal bombing, when it is clear that Salt Ash has been populated long before the Wright brothers flew their first airplane, as can be seen here with photographic PROOF!!!
Bomber apologists are destroying the future of Port Stephens, a fabulous tourist destination that has become world famous for its stunning beauty. But it now will become world infamous from here for the worst excess of human disrespect and human health tragedy. We are living on a huge health time bomb.
So for your next thrill in life, dont go to Baghdad, Belgrade, Belfast or Beirut.
Try a few hours near the Salt Ash bombing and bullet, barrage. Locals actually "live" there! [Or try too.]Get strafed daily for free, [well not quite free!] They dont charge the locals though, they just terrorise them daily. Hour after hour of bombs, bullets, noise and pollution!
Around and around and around. Sound effects are great too! Why? Because they are real! Get your outer ear, middle ear and inner ear damaged for life. Get your nerves wrecked as a bonus. If you decide to live there, another free bonus, you can stay for life, as no one will ever buy your house.
[Testing bombs with war on the locals is the hidden program!] The unofficial daily mission! "Miss the houses" Free excess kerosene in your drinking water tanks makes a "great pick me up". Or free lead in your bore water too, maybe even spent uranium on a lucky day. Oh yes another point "they" were here first, you can easily check that by reading the date on the Salt Ash School! If you want to speak to someone "living" [read dying] here you will need to bring a loud hailer and a notepad!

Salt Ash School, was founded more than 100 years ago & well before the bombers even had an airfarce!

It is said a "picture is worth a thousand words"!
Well the above picture proves forever that no matter what the spin masters from the Pro Bombers Propaganda machine puts out, they clearly were not bombing before people where living here! And they clearly should not be bombing around the people now!
One final point: Kill your rooster and turn off your air conditioner, if you dont, you are breaking local noise laws here according to the Port Stephens Council. Given that you can not hear someone speaking to you less than a metre away while the Mad Bombers endlessly fly overhead, we should be forgiven for thinking our councilors are also brain damaged?

Ban the Bombers Now!
Join R.O.A.R today and ban the Bombers.

"No more Bombing and Strafing the Salt Ash people".
